I. Overview of Clean Bench
The Clean Bench is the most commonly used single-person/double-person local clean equipment in laboratories, medical fields, biology, food, electronics industries. The equipment forms a stable 100-level (ISO5) clean operating environment on the countertop through built-in fans and multi-stage filtration systems. It can effectively filter dust, bacteria, and particles in the air, providing a dust-free and sterile operating space for precise operations, aseptic experiments, and sample preparation.
Compared to laminar flow hoods and clean enclosures, the Clean Bench is smaller in size, plug-and-play, has a lower price, and does not require the renovation of the workshop. It is the preferred equipment for lightweight local purification.
II. Working Principle
The indoor air is sucked into the cabinet by the fan, pre-filtered by the G4 primary filter, and then purified by the HEPA high-efficiency filter at the end. The air is evenly sent out in parallel laminar flow through the equalizing membrane.
The single-direction laminar airflow continuously replaces the air on the countertop, preventing external pollutants from entering the working area, and maintaining the ISO5 level of cleanliness in the operation area for a long time.
Standard air velocity: 0.35–0.55m/s
Cleanliness level: 100-level (Class 100 / ISO5)
III. Equipment Structure Composition
Cabinet shell: Cold-rolled steel plate electrostatic powder coating / 100% 304 stainless steel, corrosion-resistant and easy to clean.
High-efficiency filter: H13/H14 grade glass fiber high-efficiency filter, core purification component.
Primary filter: Pre-protection to extend the life of the high-efficiency filter.
Low-noise fan system: Provides stable pressure and uniform air volume.
Equalizing membrane: Stable pressure equalization, eliminating turbulent vortex.
Intelligent control system: Fan speed adjustment, ultraviolet sterilization, lighting, and timing functions.
Tempered glass window: Transparent, dust-proof, and impact-resistant.
IV. Two types of Clean BENCH
1. Vertical flow Clean Bench (mainstream in biology, medicine, and pharmaceuticals)
Air flows vertically downward from above
Advantages: Does not directly blow towards personnel, high safety, stable aseptic effect, suitable for bacterial strains, cells, and aseptic operations.
2. Horizontal flow Clean Bench (mainstream in electronics and precision assembly)
Air flows horizontally from the back to the front
Advantages: Uniform air volume, higher countertop cleanliness, suitable for electronic chips, optics, and precision components.
