What are the purification and sterilization configurations of laminar flow transfer cabinets?

The layer flow transfer window purification + sterilization complete configuration classification
It is divided into four major categories: basic layer flow purification system, physical disinfection and sterilization module, high-end all-round sterilization system (VHP), and industry-specific protective purification accessories. Different cleanliness levels, CGT / semiconductor / biosafety laboratories can be selected and equipped as needed.

I. Basic layer flow purification system (standard for all layer flow transfer windows)
Function: Form vertical unidirectional laminar flow inside the cabin, maintaining a hundred-level cleanliness, isolating cross-zone dust pollution
Air supply power unit
Common AC centrifugal fan: Economic type, noise is relatively high
EC variable frequency energy-saving fan: Standard for pharmaceutical enterprises, semiconductor, GMP sterile workshop, BSL laboratory. Adjustable wind speed, low noise, energy-saving
High-efficiency filtration components (core purification)
H13 high-efficiency filter: Commonly used in electronic, D-level clean workshops
H14 high-efficiency filter: Mandatory standard for GMP sterile workshop, CGT, BSL laboratories
Matching accessories: Filter PAO leak detection port, front and rear pressure difference monitor / digital pressure difference, real-time judgment of filter material blockage
Air flow structure
Top uniform flow membrane + vertical downward laminar flow, bottom return air slot circulation, self-purification time adjustable 5~15 minutes
II. Conventional physical sterilization configuration (basic disinfection, low-cost optional)
Only does surface microbial killing, cannot kill spores, mostly used for ordinary cleanroom material disinfection
254nm ultraviolet sterilization lamp
Built-in top ultraviolet lamp tube, automatic on/off at regular intervals
Safety interlock: Any one of the two doors opened, the ultraviolet lamp immediately cuts off power to prevent ultraviolet burn injury to personnel
Limitation: There are irradiation dead zones, ineffective against spores, stubborn microorganisms
Ozone disinfection module
Optional built-in ozone generator, closed space ozone fumigation; Disadvantages: It is highly corrosive and cannot be used in 316L mirror surfaces or CGT active cell scenarios. It has now been gradually replaced by VHP
III. High-end all-round sterilization system (VHP vaporized hydrogen peroxide, CGT / sterile / BSL core configuration)
Can kill bacteria, fungi, viruses, spores by 6-log, meet GMP sterile, biosafety high-level requirements, complete set configuration includes:
VHP vaporized hydrogen peroxide generating host
High-temperature atomized hydrogen peroxide disinfectant liquid, generates dry fog VHP, no condensation water, does not corrode 316L stainless steel mirror cavity
All-round circulation spraying system
Cabin multi-directional atomized nozzles, 360° no dead zone circulation, ensuring VHP concentration meets each part of the cavity
Concentration closed-loop monitoring control system
Built-in multiple sets of VHP concentration sensors, real-time monitoring of cabin concentration, automatically adjusting the generator power to maintain the required constant concentration for sterilization
Residual exhaust catalytic decomposition system
After sterilization, the exhaust system is automatically started, the exhaust gas passes through the catalytic decomposition module, decomposes the residual hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen, residual in cabin ≤ 0.1 ppm, safe for transporting active cells, drugs
Fully automatic sterilization program PLC control
Can be customized: dehumidification stage → sterilization insulation stage → residual exhaust stage, three-stage automatic process, sterilization data automatically stored for traceability
Combined sterilization selection scheme
Ultraviolet + VHP dual system: Lightly contaminated materials in daily use are quickly disinfected by ultraviolet; high-risk sterile materials, pathogen samples, start VHP deep sterilization, balancing efficiency and high-standard compliance
IV. BSL-3/4 dedicated purification and sterilization accessories
On the basis of the above, add biological safety protection purification components to prevent pathogen aerosols from leaking:
Negative pressure linkage purification system
Cabin negative pressure sensor, linked with the laboratory negative pressure system, maintains cabin negative pressure, preventing aerosols from spreading outward
Secondary high-efficiency exhaust filtration system
Independent exhaust branch of the equipment, exhaust gas first passes through the primary filter, then undergoes dual filtration by H14 high-efficiency filter, then discharged, blocking the escape of live viruses, pathogenic bacteria
Air tight sealing purification assistance Double-layer inflatable silicone rubber sealed door body, reducing air leakage and ensuring laminar flow, negative pressure, and stable sterilization concentration.
V. Specialized purification accessories for the semiconductor industry (no sterilization requirements, focusing on dust and static electricity purification)
The semiconductor wafer workshop hardly configures sterilization modules. The purification focuses on dust and static electricity control:
Anti-static laminar flow system: cavity anti-static treatment, built-in ion wind rods, neutralizing static electricity and adsorbing dust
The online particle monitoring reserves an interface, which can be connected to an external particle counter to monitor the 0.1μm dust concentration in the cabin in real time
Low dust non-volatile sealing, low-noise EC fan, avoiding secondary dust pollution of the wafer
VI. Monitoring accessories for supporting purification and sterilization
Temperature and humidity sensor: VHP sterilization requires a stable temperature and humidity environment, accurately controlling the sterilization effect
Door timeout alarm: Long-term opening of the door disrupts the laminar flow clean environment, audible and visual reminder
Pressure difference and concentration data storage module, connecting to MES/LIMS system, meeting GMP data integrity requirements
