Pass box maintenance cycle (General Industry Standard for Cleanrooms)
Divided into daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual categories, it distinguishes between ordinary ultraviolet pass boxes and laminar flow air shower pass boxes, adapting to the general specifications of pharmaceutical enterprises and electronic cleanrooms.
1. Daily maintenance (per shift / before and after shift each day)
Clean the inner walls, glass, countertop, and sealing strip surfaces of the box with 75% alcohol for disinfection;
Check if the double doors are closed tightly and if there are any gaps;
Test if the interlock indicator light, lighting lamp, and ultraviolet lamp can be turned on normally;
Clear the box of debris, water accumulation, and stains.
Applicable to all types of pass boxes, it must be done after each shift operation.
2. Mantenimiento semanal
Fully disassemble the sealing strip, clean the accumulated dust in the gaps, and dry and reset;
Wipe the door frame, door lock, and electromagnetic lock contact surfaces of dust;
Check the dust on the surface of the ultraviolet lamp tube and wipe it with a dust-free cloth;
Laminar flow type: Clean the surface of the primary filter screen.
3. Monthly maintenance (monthly inspection and maintenance)
Clean and lubricate the mechanical/electronic interlock mechanism, test opening and closing 10 times or more to confirm no jamming;
Check the tightening of door hinges, pull handles, and screws, and tighten promptly if loose;
Check if the sealing glue around the box is cracked, blackened, or detached;
Check the cumulative usage time of the ultraviolet lamp;
Laminar flow pass box: Replace the primary filter screen if dirty.
4. Quarterly maintenance (3 months)
Comprehensively inspect the circuit wiring, grounding, and switch lines for aging and cracking;
Test the ultraviolet lamp irradiation intensity (standard ≥ 50 μW/cm²), replace the lamp tube in advance if insufficient intensity;
Check if the box has deformed, rusted weld seams (for stainless steel models);
Laminar flow type: Test the fan operation noise and wind speed, and repair if abnormal;
Recheck the air tightness of the wall, reseal the door gap if there is leakage.
5. Annual major maintenance (12 months)
Remove and clean the entire unit, check for aging, hardening, or deformation of the sealing strip, and replace all parts;
Ultraviolet lamp tube: Replace immediately if cumulative usage reaches 800 hours;
Laminar flow pass box: Replace the primary filter screen, test for leaks;
Replace aging and damaged electromagnetic locks and control switches;
Remove and reapply the sealing glue on the box and wall, reseal for air tightness;
Recheck the air tightness of the entire machine, conduct full function interlock acceptance, and retain maintenance records.
Key consumable replacement cycle (rigid standard)
Ultraviolet sterilization lamp tube: Replace after 800 hours of cumulative use or after 1 year, regardless of the duration;
Door sealing strip: Replace once a year; if hardened, cracked, or leaking, replace immediately;
Primary filter screen of laminar flow pass box: Replace every 1 month; efficient filter: Replace every 1 year, replace immediately if damaged and leaking powder;
Electromagnetic lock and control buttons: No fixed cycle, replace immediately if faulty;
Sealing glue of the box: Reapply and repair every 1 year.
Different cleanroom adjustments
Aseptic pharmaceutical / biological clean area: Cycle is shortened by 20%, measure the intensity of the ultraviolet lamp every 6 months, inspect the sealing strip once every half a year;
Electronic dust-free workshop: Execute according to the standard cycle;
High dust production workshop: Reduce the cleaning and filter screen replacement cycle by half.
