What factors affect the service life of the high-efficiency filters in the automatic double-door cargo washroom?

Automatic double-door cargo airlock room – Filter lifespan | Key influencing factors
1. Pre-filter protection (most significant impact)
Maintenance / replacement frequency of primary filters (G3/G4) – If the front-end primary filters are not cleaned or replaced frequently, large particles will directly reach the high-efficiency filter, causing rapid blockage of the pressure difference and halving or even reducing the lifespan to 1/3; Specification: The primary filters should be blown clean weekly and replaced every 3 to 6 months.
Whether there is a transitional intermediate filter duct / return air with an intermediate filter can significantly reduce the load on the high-efficiency filter and extend its lifespan.
2. Dust concentration in the usage environment
External areas with high dust (processing, packaging, raw material transfer, dust-filled workshop) → The incoming air contains high dust, and it will be blocked quickly;
Clean areas without pre-dust removal, no wind shower buffer, and inadequate dust removal for personnel and materials → The high-efficiency filter accumulates dust rapidly, accelerating its failure.
3. Equipment operation conditions
Daily operation duration of 24 hours without shutdown, frequent incoming and outgoing goods, frequent air blowing, high air flow load, and rapid resistance increase; Regular use for 8 hours per day, the lifespan is the most stable.
Fan pressure / air speed settings – If the air speed is set too high and the fan pressure is too large, long-term strong airflow impact: → The filter material is prone to fatigue, the seal is prone to looseness, and the frame is prone to leakage, which not only blocks quickly but also easily damages and leaks.
Frequent start-stop, door body impact and vibration – Frequent rapid opening and closing of the double-door, collision and vibration will cause: Micro cracks in the filter material, detachment of the glue joint, and displacement of the installation seal → It may seem not blocked, but in fact, it fails to prevent air leakage.
4. Installation and sealing quality
Poor installation of the high-efficiency frame sealant and trim → Local leakage, local accumulation of dust, premature failure;
Disassembly, replacement, and handling with磕碰 (knock and bumping) → Damage to the filter material and seal, significantly shortening the lifespan.
5. Temperature, humidity and environmental corrosion
Dampness, condensation, and high moisture content → Filter material gets damp and moldy, fiberglass board hardens, resistance rises sharply, and microorganisms breed;
Acid-base mist, chemical volatilization → Corrode the filter material, age the glue layer, and cause pinhole leakage.
6. Daily operation and monitoring
Not checking the pressure difference on time, not conducting leak detection → When the blockage reaches the limit, it is discovered too late, and the actual effective lifespan is wasted;
Long-term failure to clean the duct, excessive dust accumulation in the return air, and increased secondary dusting on the high-efficiency filter.
