How to extend the service life of paper-frame high-efficiency filters?

To extend the lifespan of the paper frame high-efficiency filter, the key lies in one thing: avoid allowing large particles and dust to directly block the high-efficiency section, and prevent dirt from reaching it in advance. Here are the most practical and immediately applicable methods in the field:
1. Front-end filtration setup (most crucial)
It must be combined with a primary filter + a secondary filter + a tertiary filter
Fresh air → Primary filter → Secondary filter → High-efficiency filter
The primary and secondary filters should be replaced regularly, not waiting until they are completely clogged
Primary filter: replace or clean every 1 to 3 months
Secondary filter: replace every 3 to 6 months
A well-set front-end filtration system can directly extend the lifespan of the high-efficiency filter by 30% to 100%
2. Control environmental humidity and temperature
The paper frame is afraid of moisture and water. If the humidity remains above 80% for a long time, it is prone to deformation, warping, and air leakage.
Avoid direct contact of condensation water, spray, and water leakage with the filter
The environmental temperature should be as low as possible, below 60℃. High temperatures will cause the paper frame to soften and lose its effectiveness
3. Reduce startup shock and frequent start-stop
Frequent start-stop of the fan will cause dust to repeatedly adhere, accelerating blockage
Try to start smoothly and avoid sudden high air volume impact on the filter material
4. Maintain positive pressure indoors to reduce outside dust entry
Clean rooms and dust-free workshops should maintain positive pressure
Timely seal doors, transfer windows, and gaps to prevent outdoor dust from entering
Properly control the entry and exit of personnel and materials to reduce dust
5. Regularly measure pressure difference and do not allow it to become completely blocked
The final resistance of the high-efficiency filter is generally controlled at around 400 Pa and should be replaced
If the resistance exceeds the standard, do not replace it, as it will not only reach the end of its lifespan but also
result in a decrease in air volume
motor overload
filter material damage and air leakage
6. Strictly prohibit cleaning, tapping, and blowing
The paper frame high-efficiency filter is used once and cannot be washed with water
cannot be blown with an air gun
cannot be tapped
These operations will directly damage the filter material and paper frame, causing dust leakage and equivalent to scrapping.
7. Ensure proper sealing during installation
Install properly, ensure the sealing strip is intact
Do not squeeze or distort the paper frame
Leakage will allow unfiltered air to enter directly, affecting the effect and also shortening the effective lifespan indirectly
