A pleated filter is designed as a folding pattern to increase the filter’s surface area for more dust, allergens, and mold to get trapped in. It offers a much higher level of filtration than the standard filters, and it is more efficient at capturing microscopic airborne particles than the non-pleated filters. Pleated filters can work longer and are very durable, and is capable of removing much smaller particles from the air. The outer frame is made of a strong, moisture-proof aluminum alloy frame, which is strong and durable. The filter material is fixed diagonally in front and behind the outer frame. The filter material and the outer frame are tightly bonded to prevent any air leakage. The filtration area is 2-5 times that of a general plane.
