Daily Maintenance Tips for Air Supply Ceiling «Easy to Leak, but Crucial» (In addition to changing filter elements and checking pressure difference, focus on sealing, cleanliness, airflow, anti-corrosion, and compliance)
1. Sealing and Leak Prevention is the Top Priority (90% of pollution comes from this)
Weekly Inspection: Check the efficient frame sealing strips, silicone sealing pads, and ceiling joint seams
Yellowing, hardening, cracking, detaching, accumulation of black dust → Immediately replace the sealant / repair the sealing glue
Install screws evenly and tightly, don’t tighten one side and loosen the other, it will leak
After disinfection and fumigation / formaldehyde sterilization: Must check for aging seals, high temperature and high humidity are most prone to detaching and leaking
2. Cleaning must be done carefully (to avoid secondary pollution + damage to filter membranes)
Outer panel / uniform flow board: Use a lint-free cloth + neutral water / 75% alcohol to gently wipe
Prohibited: High-pressure water gun flushing, strong alkaline disinfectant solution, hard-bristled brush scraping (will damage PTFE membrane / filter material)
Never allow to randomly wipe the dust inside the air supply ceiling, the accumulated dust can only:
Stop the machine → Negative pressure vacuum cleaning → Professional personnel operation to prevent glass fibers from falling and dirty dust from falling into the clean area
3. Daily Monitoring of Airflow & Wind Speed
Each shift check: Are there any local lack of air, deviation, vortex, or shaking at the outlet
If the air volume decreases:
First check if the initial / mid-efficiency filters are blocked, then check the fan frequency, wind duct leakage, don’t directly blame the efficient
Laminar flow area (Class 100 / sterile) : It is strictly prohibited to stack miscellaneous items above the ceiling, step on the keel, or modify the air ducts
4. Moisture Prevention, Anti-corrosion, and Anti-mildew
Damp workshops, frequent disinfection:
Check if there is condensation water, mold, rust spots inside the static pressure box
If there is water stains, the machine must stop to dry + remove rust and anti-corrosion, otherwise mold spores will be blown down
Stainless steel joints, weld points: Regularly clean, residual disinfectant will slowly corrode
5. Hidden Hazards of Electrical and Fan
FFU / Companion Fans: Listen for abnormal sounds, observe vibrations, feel temperature rise, abnormal current should stop the machine immediately
Pressure transmitter, wind speed sensor: Check the values once a month to prevent malfunctioning of the display and false data
Power outage maintenance, changing filter elements: Must hang a sign and lock it to prevent accidental startup
6. Strictly Prohibit Violations (The most common mistakes in daily operations)
Strictly prohibit: Dust operations, unpacking, grinding below the air supply ceiling
Strictly prohibited: Spray a large amount of disinfectant directly at the air outlet (seep into the static pressure box and damage the filter core and glue)
Strictly prohibit: Overdue sealing maintenance, using makeshift solutions, leak detection does not pass and still continuing production
7. Record & Compliance (GMP / Audit must see)
Each cleaning, pressure difference record, filter element replacement, PAO leak detection, wind speed test, all should be recorded in the ledger
Disinfection frequency, cleaning agent model should be archived, to avoid missing materials during audits
8. Minimal Inspection Add-Ons (Can be used directly on-site)
Look: The panel is clean, no blackening, no mold spots
Touch: The frame sealing is tight, no loosening
Remember: The pressure difference is steadily rising, not suddenly surging
Listen: The fan has no abnormal sounds, the air is uniform
